Stream Vision Ballistics Support
Firmware update 3.0.0 introduces Stream Vision Ballistics support for the first time in any Pulsar handheld devices. Available across all Merger LRF models, the Stream Vision Ballistics app will present accurate ballistic corrections directly on your device’s display in day- or night-time conditions.
Enter your riflescope’s data into the Stream Vision Ballistics app and connect it to your Merger LRF device to see the suggested point of aim for your selected riflescope and enhance your accuracy and decision-making in the field.
The Stream Vision Ballistics’ on-screen ballistic calculator widget will display the last distance measured through the device, the active ballistic profile, click values, and measurement units.
Please note that, as of 02/03/2025, the Merger series’ support for the Stream Vision Ballistics app is only compatible with iOS devices; compatibility with Android devices is coming soon. Please ensure you have the latest version of the Stream Vision Ballistics app installed to enable ballistic calculations on Merger devices.
Updated Screen Customisation Options
Several new screen optimisation and customisation options are available with firmware update 3.0.0, including a new green colour palette, a colour more commonly associated with traditional analogue night vision devices. This green colour palette is less stressful on the eye and therefore reduces the likelihood of eye fatigue over long periods of observation. The addition of this new colour palette brings the overall number of palettes to 9.
Three new display customisability options have now been added, so you can adapt your display to match your preferences with rectangular, square, and circular screen shapes available to choose from.
Improvements to the display dimming function decreases the brightness of the Merger’s display, including icons along the information bar, reducing eye fatigue and allowing for covert observation without the risk of spooking observed animals.
Improved Image Quality
Updated and enhanced image processing algorithms have been implemented to reduce noise further and deliver a sharper image with significantly greater detail — providing an even more informative image in the field.
Video Streaming via USB Type-C
Firmware update 3.0.0 for Merger LRF models introduces the ability to stream video from the device to a connected screen via a USB Type-C cable. This method of connection ensures better image quality with lower latency when compared to Wi-Fi streaming, providing a smoother viewing experience as well as greater compatibility with video editing software.
To use this feature, additional software (such as VLC Player, AMCap, USB Camera, or CamX) is required. For iPhone users, please note this function is only compatible with models equipped with the newer USB Type-C connection; this will not work with older models with a lightning connection.
