Our Speakers

Peter Gibbon is a Scotland-based hunter and Media Creator for the British Deer Society with more than two decades of experience in the shooting industry, specialising in a range of field activities, including deer stalking and fox control. As a dedicated member of the Pulsar Pro-Staff team, Peter brings with him a font of product knowledge and thermal imaging/digital night vision expertise.

Tom Gosbell is a passionate and experienced stalker and fox controller who runs his own small farm pheasant and duck shoot, combining practical knowledge with a genuine love for the countryside. Growing up immersed in field sports, Tom has developed a deep understanding of both the land and the equipment needed to work it effectively.

Working within the family business, Thomas Jacks (exclusive UK & ROI distributor of Pulsar), he has built an extensive knowledge of the Pulsar range, gaining hands-on experience with thermal and night vision equipment in real-world conditions.

When he’s not at work, Tom can usually be found out in the field with a rifle, managing his shoot, or behind the wheel of a tractor, fully immersed in the rural lifestyle that has shaped his skills and passion from an early age.

Darren Kilner is part of the British Deer Society’s training team. His shooting career started with a competitive Biathlon 40 years ago, quickly developing into a love of deer stalking and subsequently wider deer management. He is a keen member of Defence Deer Management and has acted as a deer ranger, stalking guide, and contractor in both part-time and full-time capacities nationally.

Darren was an early adopter of thermal imaging and night vision technologies, having used them for many years in a military context, and has used these technologies professionally for multiple night shooting activities.

Passionate about the countryside and with a lifelong interest in hunting as a method of conservation, Matt Roberts owns Grove Game — providers of deer management services for estates, farmer, and charities. He specialises in locally sourced, responsibly selected, humanely harvested, and carefully prepared wild game and venison of the highest quality.

Raised in the countryside, nature and the outdoors have been a passion and part of Matt’s life for decades. His aim is to provide responsible and effective deer management solutions tailored to landowner requirements and provide the best quality, traceable wild game.

Karolien van der Vorm the founder and director of 360 Wildlife Control, bringing over two decades of experience in sustainable wildlife and game management to estates, landowners, facilities managers, construction companies, and pest control firms across the UK.

She works closely with other pest control professionals, offering specialist wildlife expertise for their clients and sharing knowledge through respected training networks such as BASC, BDS, and NGO.

In February of 2026, Karolien became the first UK recipient of the Deer Management Certificate Level 3 — the UK’s highest deer management award.

Jules Whicker has over 30 years’ experience as a shooting writer, and a lifetime love of the countryside. He stalks roe, muntjac and CWD in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire, as well as foxing and ratting closer to home. Jules has been writing about thermal devices and incorporating them into his hunting practice since he first got his hands on Pulsar’s game-changing Quantum monocular in 2012.
